High-Quality Farmer Training Program Held at Yantai Chengfeng Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. in Laiyang City

To implement Yantai City's 2025 high-quality farmer training initiative, Laiyang City successfully hosted its training program at Yantai Chengfeng Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. on December 10. Centered on the theme “Empowering Agriculture with Machinery, Revitalizing Industries through Technology,” the session attracted over 80 participants including leaders of new agricultural entities and family farm operators. Combining theoretical instruction with hands-on practical training, the program enhanced farmers' skills in agricultural machinery operation.

As a high-tech enterprise, Yantai Chengfeng Machinery provided a professional practical platform for the training. On-site, participants closely observed over ten nationally certified products, including tracked micro-tillers and Beidou/GPS-guided autonomous mowers. Technicians demonstrated practical skills such as greenhouse deep tillage, orchard weeding, and remote-controlled spraying, while emphasizing essential knowledge like agricultural machinery subsidy applications and routine maintenance. Leveraging the industry-academia-research base jointly established by the company and institutions like Shandong Agricultural University, participants also experienced the application of intelligent agricultural machinery in scenarios such as orchards and greenhouses, gaining firsthand insight into the efficiency and convenience of technology-assisted farming.

This training serves as a key practical component of Laiyang City's “Rural Youth Talent Selection and Cultivation Program.” Aligned with local agricultural industry needs, it integrates corporate technical resources with university research capabilities to build a comprehensive training system encompassing “theory + hands-on practice + policy.” Participants unanimously praised the training's targeted content, noting they not only mastered new agricultural machinery operation skills but also gained clarity on the direction of agricultural modernization.
