The core principle is immediate cleaning after each use. Always clean immediately after finishing spraying. First, drain residual liquid, then fill with a small amount of clean water to flush the lines and tank, expelling water through the nozzles. Next, remove all nozzles and filters. Carefully clean them with a soft brush in clean water, ensuring tiny passages and screens remain unobstructed—this is crucial for uniform atomization during the next operation.
The key lies in regular thorough inspections. Beyond routine cleaning, pay regular attention to core components. Check the engine oil and air filter to ensure stable engine operation. For tracked models, also monitor transmission gear oil levels and track tension. Simultaneously, carefully inspect the liquid pump seals. Replace any leaking seals promptly to prevent insufficient pressure during operation.
Conclude with proper seasonal storage. When the operational season ends and equipment requires long-term storage, maintenance must be thorough. Perform a final flush cycle using a mild detergent solution to remove stubborn chemical residues, followed by a complete rinse with ample clean water. The most critical step is draining all residual water: open all drain valves to completely empty water from the chemical tank, pump, and lines. Where possible, use compressed air to dry these components, effectively preventing freeze damage and internal corrosion. Finally, store the equipment in a dry, cool location and remove the remote control batteries and nozzle for separate storage.
